Tuberculosis
Tuberculosis is an easily transmitted disease, that effects the lungs. TB is carried by humans and 80% of them die. If you get near a TB patient and if their droplets if cough or sneeze get inhaled by you then you have TB. Others can catch TB from an infected patient. TB is a disease that spreads through the air, if not treated then a person with active TB will spread the disease from person to person. More than two billion people which is one third of the worlds population, are infected with TB, people living with HIV are at a much greater risk. Tuberculosis is a disease of poverty affecting youg adults in their most productive years. Tuberculosis is a leading killer espically people living with HIV because their immune systems are weak and can't fight off the disease. Tuberculosis is a worldwide pandemic among the 15 countires Africa has the highest death rates of TB cases. Multi-drug resistant is a form of TB that does not respond to the strand treatments usting first line drugs. 41 million TB patients have successfully been treated in programs for TB and up to six million lives have been saved since 1995. 5 more million lives could be saved between now and 2015.
