Mycobacterium Tuberculosis is the bacteria that causes TB. TB was founded in Egyotain mummies from 2,400 BCE, they showed signs if definite signs of TB. In the 17th century Sylvius was the first to identify actual tubercles as a consistent and characteristic change in the lungs and other areas of the body.
